1-Bedroom House with Air Source Heat Pump and Underfloor Heating

Project Background

A 5kw Mitsubishi Ecodan air source heat pump was installed at a one bedroomed house in Chelmsford, Essex

The property uses underfloor heating downstairs and traditional radiators upstairs.

Hot Water Storage

The heat pump also heats and stores hot water in a 180 litre cylinder designed for use with heat pumps.

The property owner reported that the running costs for the property were extremely low as a result of using the Mitsubishi Heat pump.

In addition, the installation is eligible to receive the Renewable Heat Incentive payments from spring 2014 so that the property owner will receive an income for heating their property with a heat pump.
